KHOI COMMUNITY RADIO (No Deadline)

KHOI Community Radio 89.1 FM in Ames is accepting recordings from Iowa musicians for possible air- play. KHOI is a non-commercial community radio station founded in 2012.

KHOI programs that will potentially play music by Iowa composers include all-Iowa music program Ready, Ames, Fire!; classical music programming including Morning Masterpieces, Classical Sunday, Sunday Afternoon Opera, All Things Piano, and Classical By Request; arts and culture programming including Heart of Iowa and KHOI Previews the Arts; musical theatre program Curtain Up!; and local news program Local Talk.

ICF member Paul Hertz hosts Ready, Ames, Fire!
on Thursdays from 2 to 4 pm, Classical By Request on Sundays from 8 to 10 pm, and Morning Masterpieces on Mondays from 8 to 10 am.

KHOI is interested in both longer recordings, suitable for programming during music shows, and shorter recordings, suitable for playing between segments of talk shows. KHOI also interviews local musicians and broadcasts live in-studio performances.
