Now Open: 40th Annual Choral Composition Contest
Encouraging the creation of new choral music for more than three decades, the 40th Annual Choral Composition Contest is now accepting entries. Entries should be suitable for high school Mixed Choral Ensembles (SATB – Some divisi acceptable). See Guidelines & Regulations for further information.
The Robert Campbell ’40, M.S. ’50, Endowed Choral Composition Prize will be awarded to the first place winner in the annual Choral Composition Festival. Winners of first and second place will also be awarded the following cash prizes:
• First Place – $1200
• Second Place – $700
Winners will be announced at the 40th annual Choral Composition Festival Concert on Choral Competition Festival March 23rd, 2019.
• Finalists are required to be present at the performance of their work. Ithaca College will reimburse travel expenses up to a maximum of $250; lodging and food are the responsibility of the finalists.
Sponsored by Ithaca College School of Music and Mark Foster Publishing (a division of Hal Leonard). This competition is open to all composers with the exception of Ithaca College faculty, staff and students.
Applications must be postmarked by Deadline: Monday, December 3, 2018
