Recently, James was commissioned by the Quad City Symphony Orchestra for the 100th Anniversary Season and will premier his new work, Bridges, on November 1, 2014 in Davenport, IA and November 2, 2014 in Rock Island, IL. He has also published and presented topics relating to his extensive work and relationship with composer, Milton Babbitt.
