Festival Information: Directions to the Nuts & Bolts Festival

The Carl and Mary Koehler History Center is located at 615 First Avenue SE in downtown Cedar Rapids, IA.

  • From Interstate 380, take exit 20B and proceed to 1st Avenue (2nd stoplight). Turn right onto 1st Avenue and drive approximately one block, the History Center will be on the left hand side of the road.

  • For those taking Highway 151, this highway becomes 1st Avenue in Cedar Rapids and the highway will lead directly to the History Center.


The Methwick Retirement Community Center is located at 1224 13th St. NW in Cedar Rapids, IA.

  • From Interstate 380, take exit 20A toward US HWY 151 Business.

  • Take a slight left at A Ave NE. A Avenue becomes F Ave.

  • Turn right at 13th St.

  • Follow the campus signs to get to ‘The Manor’. The concert will be held in ‘The Manor’.

Festival Information: Nuts and Bolts Festival

On Saturday May 16th, the Iowa Composers Forum will host a one-day Nuts & Bolts Festival at the Carl and Mary Koehler History Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. The festival will focus on the core business skills a composer needs in today’s competitive environment – including marketing, networking, commissioning, recording, and fund-raising. The festival will also include an evening concert of chamber music by eight ICF members at the Methwick Retirement Community Center.
